The University of Kentucky has been conducting research to protect the health and well-being of the equine population since the early 1900s when the Department of Veterinary Science was established.
The Department of Veterinary Science is home to the Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center, the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, the Genetic Testing Lab and the Equine Analytical Chemistry Lab.
Gluck Equine Research Center
The Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center is the only scientific institute in the U.S. with nearly all faculty conducting full-time research in equine health and diseases. Our mission is scientific discovery, education and dissemination of knowledge for the benefit of the health and well-being of horses.
