My laboratory studies biological and biomedical aspects of the equine musculoskeletal system, with an emphasis on growth and maturation of articular cartilage, development and progression of osteoarthritis, and the repair of articular lesions. Experiments are conducted primarily on a cellular and molecular level. Additional projects focus on structural and functional annotation of the equine genome, development of computational methods for the analysis of RNA-seq data, equine cervical stenotic myelopathy.
